What is our warranty policy?

**Limited Warranty**

Knotty’s Woodwork provides a one (1) year limited warranty from the date of installation on all sealed butcher blocks, covering defects in workmanship and material under normal residential use. Covered defects are limited to structural issues such as abnormal warping or wood splitting beyond what is considered natural movement. At our sole discretion, we will repair or replace the defective product within a reasonable timeframe.

**Exclusions**

This warranty does not apply to:

* Unfinished or oiled butcher blocks, as these products require ongoing maintenance and periodic reapplication of finish.

* Normal wear and tear, including surface scratches, dents, minor movement, or seasonal expansion and contraction typical of solid wood products.

* Natural characteristics of wood, including but not limited to knots, grain variation, colour variation, mineral streaks, and checking (small surface cracks that occur as wood acclimates).

* Damage caused by improper installation (if not installed by Knotty’s Woodwork).

* Damage resulting from misuse, negligence, alteration, or improper care.

* Excessive or prolonged exposure to water or moisture.

* Damage caused by placing hot objects directly on the surface.

* Failure to follow recommended care and maintenance guidelines.

**Repair Procedure**

All products that were picked up and approved for repair under this warranty must be returned to Knotty’s Woodwork for evaluation and repair. Onsite repairs will only be provided for products that were installed by Knotty’s Woodwork.

Solid wood is a natural material and will expand, contract, and vary in colour and grain. These inherent characteristics are not considered defects.

This warranty is non-transferable and applies only to the original purchaser.
